Mrs Bandana Mukherjee is the Treasurer of NGBM Foundation. She is the 2^nd daughter of Krishna Mohan and granddaughter of Nanigopal Badyopadhyay, married to Mr Sajal Mukherjee and settled in Payradanga, Nadia. They have two children, settled in Delhi and Taiwan.

Born in 1968, Bandana’s primary schooling was in Humania Pota village, secondary in Gouri Shail Gouripur Ananda Bidyapith, higher secondary in Gopal Nagar Haripada Institution and completed graduation from Gobordanga Hindu College. She also undertook number of vocational training like certification in shorthand, Senior Teachers’ Training Certificate and Montessori Teachers’ Certificate.

Together they have raised their two children and both are well settled. Over and above, she was regularly involved in teaching underprivileged students at her place. She has been instrumental in establishing free coaching classes (Pathshala) in Bandyopadhyay Bhavan (in her parental village Humania Pota), since 2018. The so called Pathshala is being run by her, along with a few motivated village teachers. About 30 local students take free coaching regularly in the Pathshala, even during the Covid period.

She even volunteered to undergo Montessori Teachers’ Certificate Course recently, considering need for scientific and modern education for the village students. Her compassion for education of the needy students of the village brought her into the fold of NGBM Foundation.
