SHRI KAJAL BANERJEE

Shri Kajal Banerjee was born in a low middle class Bandyopadhyay family in Humania Pota in 1956.  He is the 2nd son of Shri Krishna Mohan and Smt Arati Bandyopadhyay.

Having undergone primary & secondary education in the village, he then opted for science stream and successfully completed graduation from Calcutta University in 1975. Around the same time, Humania Pota Abdul Aziz Junior High School was under formation, under the able leadership of his father Shri Krishna Mohan Bandyopadhya. In the same year, after graduation, he joined the newly established Junior High School as an honorary teacher and served till 1980.  He then joined Gobardanga B.Ed. College for better opportunity in teaching profession, but soon he was selected for Banking Service. Thus, he chose a change of profession by year end of 1980.

He retired as Assistant General Manager (AGM) from United Bank of India (UBI) as well as Head of Government Transaction Department from Head Office, Kolkata, in 2016, after 36 years of service in banking/ financial departments.

Post retirement, he has initiated a few social services and environmental needs of the village with a few likeminded people. Additionally, he is the fore runner in establishing the NGBM foundation and actively involved in various projects, for empowering needy people of the village, as Vice President of the foundation.
