Mrs Karabi Bhattacharyya was born in village Humania Pota in the year 1968, the youngest daughter of Krishna Mohan Bandyopadhyay and granddaughter of Nani Gopal Badyopadhyay. 

Her primary education was in village school, secondary in Humania Pota Abdul Aziz Junior High School, further studies till higher secondary in Gouri Shail Gouripur Ananda Bidyapith. She graduated from Ranaghat College.

After marriage with Mr Amithava Bhattacharya, they settled at Rajibpur, 24 Parganas (North), where she has been engaged in educating differently abled students, while looking after their own home. In parallel, she has been involved in the managing committee of Rajivpur girl’s school, for long time.

Deeply passionate with her paternal village Humania Pota, she carries the legacy of her father, Shri Krishna Mohon Bandyopadhyay and regularly visits and contributes towards the empowerment of people of the village and has now become the member of NGBM Foundation.
