Shri Lalit Mohan is the eldest son of Noni Gopal Bandyopadhyay, born in the year 1914. At that time, there was hardly any education facility around 15-20 km radius of the village. However, he could earn workable education from home coaching while attending schooling from faraway place.
In 1943, he joined the only village primary school, which was established in 1900 AD, by his great grandfather in Bandyopadhyay Bhavan. Subsequently, he had undergone GT training and became the head teacher of the same school, which was then shifted out of Bandyopadhyay Bhavan and became a Govt affiliated first village primary school in 1954.
He was a strict disciplinarian and used to put tremendous labour in Farm/Agriculture/Fishery works. Socially, he was a very prominent personality in the village, as people used to look up to him for advice. He believed in Guru Shisha culture and selflessly taught students at home, beyond the call. Today many of them have done well in life.
Lalit Mohan clocked a century before he breathed his last. He is survived by four sons and three daughters. All his children are settled in various district towns and villages of West Bengal. Two of his sons are settled in Humania Pota village and they are carrying the legacy of social service in the village.
