Group Captain Subhrasish Banerji (Air Veteran) is the President of NGBM Foundation. He was born in Humania Pota village in 1954. He is the eldest son of Shri Krishna Mohan and Smt Arati Banerjee and grandson of Shri Nanigopal Bandyopadhyay.

His initial studies had been in a primary school in the adjacent village, Majhergram High School and in Gangnapur Higher Secondary School. He did his Graduation from Calcutta University and Engineering from The Institution of Engineers India, Calcutta. He did his Post Graduation in Operations Science from IGNOU, New Delhi. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers India.

He has been an Aeronautical Engineer in the Indian Air Force (IAF). He served for almost 39 years and dealt with Engineering and Maintenance of Radar, Communication and Air Field Equipments besides other Administrative works. In his long service, he held a number of prestigious posts in IAF, like Commanding Officer (CO) of Signal Units, Chief Engineering Officer (C Eng O) of an Air Base, Station Commander of an Electronic Base Repair Depot and had a Staff Appointment in Air Headquarters, New Delhi, dealing with Maintenance Philosophy and Policy Planning. 

He retired as Director Communication in the year 2010. Post retirement he is engaged in social services and doing his bit for the underprivileged.
